Dr. Bob Froehlich

Dr. Robert Joseph Froehlich, also known as Bob, served as the Senior Managing Director of Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. and its various funds since September 2009. Dr. Froehlich served as the Senior Managing Director of various funds of Hartford Fund Complex since 2009. Dr. Froehlich provided voice to financial advisors and individual investors on the markets and the economy. He served as the Vice Chairman of DWS Investments. Dr. Froehlich was responsible for providing portfolio managers, research analysts, and product specialists around the globe with timely analysis of global investment trends and developments and their impact on financial markets at DWS. He has Wall Street and Main Street experience. Dr. Froehlich began his career in the public sector, as the Chief Financial Officer for a utility and as a City Manager for Beavercreek. He was one of the youngest city managers ever in the state of Ohio. Thereafter, Dr. Froehlich transitioned to the private sector, joining Ernst & Whinney as an Economic, Financial, and Investment Consultant. He joined Van Kampen Merritt as the Director of Research and later became its first Chief Investment Strategist. After Van Kampen, Dr. Froehlich joined Kemper Funds. Dr. Froehlich served as Vice Chairman of Deutsche Asset Management from 1997 to 2009. He served as a Senior Managing Director of American Realty Capital Daily Net Asset Value Trust, Inc. and has been its Independent Director since November 2012, and its Lead Director since December 31, 2014. He has been an Independent Director of AR Capital Acquisition Corp. since October 2014. He serves as an Independent Director of American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc. He serves as a Member of Deutsche Bank Americas’ Tactical Allocation Committee. Dr. Froehlich serves as Director of Davidson Investment Advisors, Inc. He has been a Trustee of NexPoint Credit Strategies Fund since January 6, 2014. He served as Trustee of University of Dayton. He served as an Independent Director of RCS Capital Corporation. He holds a Doctorate in Public Policy from California Coast University, Bachelor’s Degree in History, Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Dayton and a Master’s degree in Management from Central Michigan University. He serves as an Independent Director of ARC Realty Finance Trust, Inc. and American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of NexPoint Capital, Inc. since 2014.
