Jeff Whisler began a lifelong interest in shooting when he was 8 years old. Shooting a 22 rifle he won a Thanksgiving turkey at the local YMCA. Over the years Jeff earned the “Expert Ticket” rating training and working at the prestigious Gunsite Academy with such notables as Jeff Cooper, Patrick Rogers and Louis Awerbuck. Jeff holds numerous NRA Instructor certificates including: Personal Protection, Refuse to be a Victim and Advanced Firearms Instructor. Jeff is a veteran and he is a certified “Concealed Firearms Instructor” for the state of Utah.
Jeff has trained thousands of students since 2003 and enjoys introducing new shooters, especially women, into the shooting sports. Empowering students to provide for their own personal protection by developing safe, skilled and self-confident students is very rewarding to Jeff. His favorite class is Force on Force where students are challenged in realistic and interactive role-playing situations to apply the lessons they have learned.
