Laura Schimberg

Laura Schimberg has been the Elder Benefit Specialist for Ozaukee County and a State of Wisconsin SHIP Counselor for the past 10 years. In this role she assists clients age 60 and older navigate through various public and private benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security Retirement, Social Security Disability, food and energy assistance, employer health insurance and pensions. As a SHIP Counselor she is able to assist with complex Medicare issues, such as appeals and grievances, and helps hundreds of people each year find the best drug coverage for their needs.
