Corey Lee Anderson is the DI GEEK. He is the owner and founder specializing in Disability Insurance. His primary focus is helping advisors and their clients with reviewing and implementing insurance plans. He is a passionate, energetic, experienced agent who brings a different perspective on this business to his clients.
Corey Anderson has been a featured speaker at numerous industry meetings speaking on his favorite topic, disability insurance. He has co-authored and starred in one of NAIFA’s (National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors) Programs in-a-box videos on Disability Insurance.
His placement ratio of clients submitted to underwriting continues to be over 95% year after year (industry average is 60%), and he is part agent on numerous individual (disability, long term care or life) insurance applications per year. He qualifies for the Million Dollar Round Table and spoke at their 2016 meeting. He was nominated and received the 2016, and 2017 Five Star Financial Professional Award. He has achieved National Sales Achievement and National Quality Award through NAIFA and has been a member for over 22 years. He also qualifies for the Leading Producers Round Table at the Golden Eagle level through NAHU (National Association of Health Underwriters) and has been a long-time member.
Corey strongly believes in contributing to the bigger picture. He has been involved in NAIFA at the state or local level for 20+ years where he has run their CE Blitz, has been on the Golf Committee (Charity fundraising), and Membership. Currently, he runs the Minnesota Health Underwriters PAC and NAIFA Underwriters PAC. He is also on the FPA (Financial Planning Association) MN board running their PR Committee and currently serves NAIFA National on the Governance Committee along with the NAIFA National Committee. With NAIFA Minneapolis he has held all the Executive Committee positions including President. In 2012, he was named by NAIFA the Young Advisor Leader of the Year which recognizes one advisor nationwide under the age of 40. Corey was also the one person to represent all agents on a field advisory board of a top disability insurance carrier.
His family (wife Stacey of 18+ years, their 16-year old daughter Kate, 14-year old son Charlie, 12-year old daughter Maggie, and 7-year old Matthew) reside in Albertville, MN. Corey volunteers regularly in is children’s classrooms and has co-chaired their school’s biggest fundraiser, Bids for Kids. When he is not cheering on his kid’s sports teams you will find him on Lake Minnetonka entertaining family and friends on their wake surf boat. If you are ever in the area, he would love to teach you to surf! He is a proud graduate of Saint Mary’s University, Benilde St. Margaret’s and LILI (Leadership in Life Institute through NAIFA).
