Roger Michaud is Chairman Emeritus of the College Savings Foundation, the leading nonprofit helping American families save for their children’s college education. With over 30 years of experience in the mutual fund industry, he is a trusted resource on issues of college savings and 529 college savings plans.
Roger is a frequent speaker on 529s and discussed the challenges facing families saving for college in print and broadcast media such as ABC-TV, Fox Business, WNET, NJTV, Dow Jones, SmartMoney, the Star-Ledger and Investment News. He has served in various leadership roles at the College Savings Foundation including former Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer.
He is Senior Vice President, U.S. Advisor Services, at Franklin Templeton Investments. His primary responsibility at Franklin Templeton includes supervising fourteen Senior Advisor Consultants within the Mid-Atlantic Division, as well as managing several firm relationships throughout the region. He joined Franklin Templeton in 1987. He also serves as Director of College Savings overseeing Franklin Templeton’s 529 College Savings activities.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. Additionally, he has also served three terms as Mayor of Green Township, NJ.
